Last year Sam Allardyce was not keen to let anyone out from his tiny Newcastle squad this January. But he is now would listen to any offers that came for United’s fringe players.

Allardyce, said he will listen to any offers but only if he has someone lined up to replace them. One of his current fringe player is Emre who has been linked to join Monaco or Bayer Leverkusen. Shola Ameobi is the other name that wanted by the former Newcastle manager Glenn Roeder to join him at Norwich City.

Roeder is already secured a permanent move to South African Matthew Pattison as an extention to his successful loan move from United earlier this month. Middlesbrough and Bolton are also been interest to sign Ameobi.

“I do not want to lose any players really, but I’m in the same boat as everyone else. If a large enough offer is made for one of my fringe players,” Allardyce said “If we can use the money to bring in a replacement who will strengthen the side, then we will look at it.”

“If clubs are interested, and I’m not specifically talking about Shola Ameobi or anyone else for that matter, then they have to come up with a sizeable bid.”

Big Sam is currently trying to get Arsenal’s midfielder Lassana Diarra after the French International is desperate to get more first team appearance. He found himself in confusion about his future in Arsenal because Arsene Wenger side is full with skillful midfielders.

Diarra, who also can operate as a right back is preferred to play as central midfield, but found himself being employed on his second favorite position as right full-back.

Allardyce realises he has no point in keeping unhappy players at Newcastle, and if he can quickly invest the money from them, he will brought in his own type of players. Already signed nine players so far last summer, Big Sam found out that only Faye and Beye who are turns to be a successful bid so far.

Meanwhile, Emre could get his rare chance recently as a starter for Newcastle after the weekend fixture against Manchester United.

Nicky Butt will have a two-game ban after this weekend trip to Old Trafford, while Joey Barton still uncertain whether he can play or not in any Newcastle match following his awaiting trial for assault and affray on the incident in Liverpool over the Christmas period.
