Rumours: Newcastle United targetting new center-forward

Unhappy Nac Breda center forward looking for Toon?

The 23-year-old Dutchman center-forward who is currently playing for NAC Breda, has been starring for Holland during the European Under-21 Championships, and his performances have caught the eye of Sam Allardyce.

Maceo Rigters is looking to leave NAC Breda this summer after failing to establish himself in the starting line-up, and he could be available for as little as £200,000, with the Magpies expecting to make the first move sooner.

"I have never felt much appreciation at NAC Breda in the last two seasons," Rigters said.

"I always had to train and play on the wings. In the front of the attack I have never got a good chance. I always feel that I am a centre-forward. At NAC Breda I have played just two matches in this position"

If the transfer is finally realized, Newcastle United will have two young Dutch star in Maceo and Tim Krull.
