Everybody has their own past, it can be something that is so glorious to remember or the one you should forget forever. For Paul Gascoigne, his past with Newcastle, Spurs, Lazio or Everton has been much-much more glorious era, until recently he suffered a mental breakdown.
For Gazza, he may be so grateful for all the support and helps he’s got through the dark days and recently he has an offer from someone who have been through about the same condition as Gazza has at the moment.
BBC has a report that Mike Tyson offered Gazza to provide counselling and support when he tours the UK in May. The former United player had to spend two weeks in a psychiatric hospital, and Tyson believes with his own past experience, he could help Gazza while holding a series of speaking engagements in the North, including a date in Gateshead.
“I know all about Gazza and I feel I can help him. A lot of top sportsmen have suffered in their private lives, including me, and that is why I want to help.” Tyson said as quoted from the BBC. “I still see him as a superstar and would like to meet him if he feels up for it.”
Mike Tyson has been a real help for the England striker and boxing fan, Wayne Rooney three years ago when he gives Rooney a boost to control his aggressive style of play.
Meanwhile, the England coach Fabio Cappello gave his words for the future of United skipper Michael Owen yesterday. Owen who has been shining bright for the Toon in recent games has a vote of confidence from Cappello, and telling him that he is still a key player in England’s qualification plans for the 2010 World Cup.
“My main priority is to qualify for the 2010 World Cup. I think about it all the time,” He said. “I have a group of players, Michael Owen included, that will take England forward,”
Another good news came today for United winger James Milner. Keegan will considering to add Milner on the bench for Sunday’s derby match, after his return to full training over the next couple of days.
