I Wanna Be a Toon Superstar

Andy Carroll has complete a loan move to Preston NorthEnd in his pursuit to become the next Toon Superstar. Carroll choose Paul Simpson’s team ahead of several club who has interest on his services.

Tall powerful striker who joined the Academy from Joseph Swan School in Gateshead. Scored his first goal at reserve team level against Sunderland on 3 April 2006 and has added another two this season.

Carroll has no less than twenty lower division clubs waiting for his decision lately before he finally choose Preston. The loan is made possible by Sam Allardyce, who’s thought he have enough cover for Toon front men, and the loan is good for Carroll to make experience and have numbers of game in hands before he is ready for a big call at Toon Squad.

There’s a few good players here and hopefully I can get on well with them, said Carroll, obviously he is delighted with the move and just want to play some games and get some goals under his belt. The 18-year-old will move to Deepdale until January after a personal recommendation from United boss Sam Allardyce.
