Sam Allardyce life as Newcastle manager will be decided after the Arsenal’s game. The expectation was so high on the day he came to St. James’ Park and the team spirit seems have been liften up. There’s no Fog of the Tyne in Newcastle dressing room, everyone is so excited to start the new season.
I personally would like to see him stay for at least until January, and we give him the chance to make things better like what he did yesterday. Yes, we were loss there at Blackburn, but the team spirit and Toon Army support is back alive.
Everyone must realise now that the Geordies faithful only want to see the team to perform well, and if we also won the game that would be a bonus.
That doesn’t mean I always can accept the defeat, and for someone else they don’t care if the team playing a negative/boring football as long as United win. For me, the most important thing is we are being entertained, I believe with a good attack and great coordination in the back, Newcastle United can challenge any team in Premier League.
Sam Allardyce is not the right man to make it happened? Then I don’t see any other that could with our current conditions, not even Jose Mourinho or Alan Shearer.
So, what is the odds for Shearer to become the new Toon manager? William Hill have shortened the odds from 13/8 to 5/4 (4/7 to survive) and installed Alan Shearer as 5/4 favourite to succeed him as permanent boss of the club.
Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe, said the punters are only interested in backing Big Sam to have Little Time left at Newcastle. Allardyce is now 5/2 second favourite with Hills to be the NEXT Premiership manager to leave his job, behind 9/4 favourite Gareth Southgate.
And who are the other candidates as Allardyce successor if he finally being sacked by Mike Ashley on Wednesday? Hills make Martin Jol 7/2 second favourite to succeed Allardyce, and also offer 8/1 Chris Coleman; 9/1 Mark Hughes; 9/1 Nigel Pearson; 12/1 Gerrard Houllier; 14/1 Guus Hiddink; Glenn Hoddle; 16/1 Jose Mourinho; 20/1 Steve McClaren.
