Yeah….only if we can beat Derby last week, we are very close to #2 spot this week. At least we are in top 5 now, and the shades of Champions Cup next year is getting clear day-by-day.
Now if we are playing more “IF”, next week on the continuity of England Premier League we will visit City of Manchester Stadium against the on fly City club.
Just like us, they are now in a good runs under new manager. SGE has turns the old City style of play, their current tables standing reflecting their new ambition this season.
In between the next match, both team will have a midweek Carling Cup matches. Newcastle will visit Emirates Stadium to face the current Premierships leader Arsenal, while City only have to welcome the Canaries on Tuesday.
These two narrow fixtures must be taken Allardyce attention seriously as both will be very important to United. To be honest, Carling Cup is our biggest chances to win something this year.
The only problem is Sam will need to do the perfect rotation to make the players ready and fit for that two games in a week. I don’t think that we should sacrifice any one of them, both games are important for us.
If we can beat the gunners on Tuesday, we are one more step into the first silverware in many years. On next Saturday, if we can beat City, it means top 4 is the prize.
Let’s see, this is the new challenge for Big Sam this week to prove that he is the right boss to guide Newcastle United into the new era, a glorious era.
Until then and Howay the Lads!
