After finalized the snap-up of Alan Amith from Manchester United and Lyon central-defender Claudio Caçapa, Allardyce will reassess his remaining targets to sign for Toon.
The latest name on Allardyce’s pocket is Spain Under-21 international José Enrique Sánchez. Enrique current club Villarreal, has confirmed that terms have been agreed for Enrique to move to the English Premiership club. The coffers for the Yellow Submarines are likely around €6 million (£4 million) for the youngster and due to sign a five-year contract with Newcastle.
The other Spanish club, Sevilla also reveals have agreed to let their Serbian giant stopper, Ivica Dragutinovic, leave on a deal close to £2.5million. Newcastle have offered the centre-half, who can also play on the left, a three-year contract to move to St James’ Park and the Serbian is keen on the switch, “This is the financial opportunity of my life and do not want to reject it,” Dragutinovic said.
