With the further talks with Newcastle United new boss Kevin Keegan is on hold until next Friday, Shearer added new flame on his relationship with the club and the man who brought him back to Newcastle.
Speaking up with the Sun, the Toon legend said he is not only interested in managing at St James’ Park and he could consider a move into management away from Tyneside.
“Why would I say that Newcastle will be the only club for me?” Shearer said, “Yes, they are my club and I love them but it doesn’t mean I could never work for anyone else.”
‘My Club’, it is nice to hear he is saying that but I feel there is something sour behind his statement.
“I couldn’t see myself working at a League Two club. But you can never rule anything in or out for good and you can never predict what will happen next in football.” He added more, “This time last week we wouldn’t have been discussing Kevin Keegan as Newcastle manager.”
If any single words he said is true, then I can see he is already close the door for any chance of being King Kev number two at Newcastle. It is clear that he is only aiming the Boss position at Newcastle and will do the job somewhere else to gain the managerial experience required by United chairman Chris Mort.
Well, thanks anyway for your comments Mr. Sifunda, but I’m afraid I can’t help or any email from me would help you to get into the Newcastle management team 🙂 Maybe you can write an email or letter to the official club site.
