Former Newcastle United chairman Freddie Shepperd is planning to make a comeback into football business using the money he received from Mike Ashley.
“Football’s a drug, and a powerful drug. From January I think something could happen.” Said Shepperd.
He told the media about the addictions of football. For him, football is like a drug and he wanted more and more of it. According to the Guardian, he is seeking the possibilities to take over a Northern club because of he is a native Northern lad.
Shepperd has been given several club names for him to buy and suggestion that any lower division clubs are very challenging ones. Well, I agree with that. Shepperd is fit enough to manage a lower division team rather than a club like Newcastle United.
