]]>One of genuine Toon Army has set-up a petition online demanding Removal of Denis Wise and Mike Ashley from Newcastle United FC. SIGN THE PETITION HERE NOW!.
Below are the petition that was created by and written by Toon supporter Charles GF:
To: Newcastle United Football Club
This is a call to all fellow Newcastle United FC supporters to demonstrate their desire for the removal of Denis Wise from our great club. Furthermore, I am sure you all agree with the consensus that Mike Ashley is having a distinct detrimental affect to our existence in the Premier League and is unable to progress the club, therefore, we strongly urge him to sell the club at the quickest opportunity.
May I also outline the fact, Kevin Keegan is Newcastle United through and through, for this reason, I stress the importance of Kevin Keegan remaining at the club.
Thank you for your support.
The petition will be presented to officials of Newcastle United Football Club on the 15th of September 2008.
Sincerely,
The Undersigned.

]]>“Dennis rang me for a general chat a couple of weeks ago and then we had a cup of coffee and another talk yesterday,” said Taylor.
Southend-born Taylor has widely known as the high-profile and the most experienced in football to take the job as the director of United Academy. When Keegan resigned the England job in 2000, he was the one the FA turned to in a caretaker capacity for one match against Italy.
His two spells as the England Under-21 manager, brought in several young players through and has been working with Steven Taylor when he played for the England Under-21 side. Peter was also briefly served as Wise’s manager at Leicester City.
When asking about the report we are chasing Peter Taylor, Magpies Zone correspondent Clarky said he might be being rather machiavellian over this, but find it a curious move actually.
“I certainly agree that Pete appears to be a top coach, albeit one who has failed several times to establish himself as a club manager. Indeed, I seem to recall he actually managed the full England team as a stand-in.”
“Having said all of that, it seems to me that KK is regarded by the powers-that-be at SJP as Team Coach, rather than the old-style Team Manager. So, why do we feel the need to bring in another top coach at this time.” Clarky added “Please note, I’m not against us having more than one top coach, only a tad curious or suspicious as to what might underpin the move.”
Furthermore, Clarky was putting his cards on the table, and wondering whether the club is planning to eventually replace KK with a management team of Wise and Taylor.
If so, there may be no plan to replace KK in the short-term. In fact, this may be being seen as the establishment of a succession plan to replace Keegan at the end of his contract, ie. 3 years hence, but one which could always be activated sooner, if necessary.
With Keegan’s summer transfer kitty reported to be (only) £20m, he could be tempted to take any deal that come to him regarding to any Newcastle players. The current rumours said Charles N’Zogbia could leave St James’ if Newcastle receive an enticing bid.

]]>Dennis Wise’s job is mostly to assist the United Board on football-related matters, including the development of the Club’s Academy and player recruitment. He will report to the Chairman.
Tony and Jeff will also assist in player recruitment. Our source said that the final decision of any new player recruitments will also have included Keegan’s thought.
Below is Newcastle United’s chairman statement as quoted from the official club site:
“This is all part of the vision that recently helped us to secure Kevin Keegan’s return to the Club as manager.”
“Two of the conclusions of our strategic review, since acquiring the Club, were that the Club would benefit from having a football person involved at Board level, which it has not had historically, and that further senior resources are needed for recruiting players of the highest quality from this country and further afield.”
“Dennis would like to move away from day-to-day football management to a Board role and, with his considerable energy and intelligence, we believe he will do very well in this new position.”
“With Kevin able to devote his efforts to developing and running the first team squad, Dennis, Tony and Jeff will each help us to secure success for Newcastle United Football Club at all levels and for the long-term. One or two further key appointments will follow in the months ahead.”

]]>While on the United official site still have no confirmation when this article being posted, Leeds official has writen their statement as quoted below,
“We have agreed a compensation package with Newcastle United for the services of our manager Dennis Wise and he will part company with the club on Tuesday January 29 after completing the preparations for our game at Southend United that evening.”
Our “independent” sources said the appointment of Dennis Wise is although a bit confusing but it seems that the deal was in the pipeline before KK came, so we assume that KK is happy with the latest NUFC appointment.
Dennis Wise is true has joining Newcastle United but as far as we know He’s not going to be directly involved with the team. We will follow the progress and see what he’s being used for.
