The answer is simple and probably also the most important thing for any football team in the world, it is the ability to handle the pressure. Does our team has it? I’m afraid the answer is NO.
Why is NO? Because Sam Allardyce admitted today that the pressure is mounted on the dressing room after the 2-1 lost at Madejski Stadium last week. I don’t understand why they must have feel that way.
The Reading loss was Newcastle’s fourth concecutive away defeat, and Allardyce’s was put in the blame by Newcastle fans for his cautious approach to most of Newcastle’s away fixture. Many fans believe that Big Sam should have attack-minded Charles N’Zogbia and James Milner in his starting XI.
Now ahead of this Saturday fixture at home against Premier League 7th in the table team Portsmouth, Sam Allardyce will face the highest task ever on his shoulder. Allardyce says United’s form at St James’s Park will not be able to bail out too many more away defeats if they are to make an impression on the Premier League table this season.
“We would have been three games undefeated, and broken the problem away from home by getting one point, but the goal we’ve conceded has made life extremely difficult.” he told the Gazzette.
Ok, we have had the highest level of optimism at the start of the season, we have the first away win at the very beginning of the new season, which is something that put Newcastle on top of the league for a week long.
Then, I feel that we have something here, we are the different team ever been for the last 10 years. And then comes Aston Villa, the only team who can handle the pressure for playing infront of more than 50,000 Geordies. The pressure then suddenly back from holiday to haunting the Lads.
Our away form since then was back….as usual, for god sake, we have ten years to solve the away performance problems without any vlue so far. Are we never learn anything from the past experience? Now, even we play at home this Saturday, if the Lads are starting to lost confidence, we are doomed.
